For more than 40 years, our company has built a reputation for delivering quality workmanship, dependable service, and practical solutions to complex infrastructure challenges. Originally founded as Harbor Dredge & Dock, the company earned its reputation through expertise in inland and tidal dredging, marine construction, pile driving, steel and timber structures, and waterway restoration. As the needs of our clients evolved, so did our company.

For almost a decade, Harbor Dredge & Dock strategically expanded into complementary civil construction services to better serve municipalities, government agencies, commercial clients, homeowners' associations, and private owners. This growth led to long-term contracts maintaining and rehabilitating municipal stormwater management systems throughout Central Virginia, where the company has successfully serviced local governments for more than seven consecutive years.

As our stormwater and dredging clients increasingly relied on us for dam rehabilitation and related infrastructure improvements, we invested in building one of the region's most capable dam restoration teams. Today, dam rehabilitation has become one of our fastest-growing service divisions, providing comprehensive solutions including spillway reconstruction, embankment stabilization, outlet structure rehabilitation, erosion control, and complete dam restoration.

To better reflect the full breadth of our capabilities and our vision for the future, Harbor Dredge & Dock has evolved into Harbor Civil & Marine. While our name has changed, our values have not.
